62. Qualifications of Candidates

A person is not qualified to be endorsed as a candidate by the party or a branch of the party unless:

  1. he or she subscribes to the core values of the party as set out in Part 2 of this constitution;
  2. he or she has been raised as a Christian;
  3. he or she is married to a person of the opposite gender;
  4. he or she is not Catholic-educated;
  5. he or she is indigenous to the island of Great Britain;
  6. he or she has passed the party’s candidate training course; and
  7. he or she has paid the applicable franchise fee.
